Newbie wants to say hi

Hello folks, I wanted to say hi to all Alex keepers and like to ask a few questions. I have kept indian ring neck for almost 5yrs and now want to upgrade to Alex. I live in Houston and can not find anyone that sells the babies? I have raised at least 4 ringnecks when they were still pink until fully feathered. If anyone knows of someone of reputable reputation that sells Alex I would like to purchase from them. Thank yall for yall''s time.

Well I just called all the breeders closet to my location and none carries them. ....is this type of bird really rare?

I'm not sure in your area, but they are pretty common to find here. (I'm in Alberta, Canada)
There are a lot of reputable breeders who will ship if they are in a state too far away from you. Hopefully someone will post who has experience with reputable Alex breeders.

Terry, do you know of any reputable breeder in Canada that will sell me one baby alex? I have never bought an animal from out of the country before. Does it needs to go thru customs? etc etc...is it a headache to go this route? If so I passed.

It is very hard to get one from Canada to the US, you are much better off buying in the states.
Have you contacted any pet stores in your area to see if they could get a baby in?
