I'm so frustrated by that last post that got really screwed up :-( Sorry about that. I was just trying to post some pics of Kiwi's new toys.

He loves baby toys, so I buy them for him at the Goodwill quite a bit. I really lucked out today, I found a bunch of great toys. 3 of his favorite kind of balls, one that has beads, one with jingly things and one with a frog on a spring in it. He will puch them around with his beak and try andget the trinkets out (though he can't actually get to them). I also found a little cart I want to teach him to push+pull around:D And after lookinf forever, I finally found a mini-version of those doctors office toys where you can push beads around on "spirals". It's just his kind of toy :) I washed his cage, so while it was outside drying, I gave him a few of his new toys. He went crazy on them. These are the results (hopefully this posts right this time)-:41:

P.S.- when i "stole" his ball and put it in the cart, he immediately proceeded to drag the cart to the edge and tipped the ball out. Pulling this cart may be Kiwi's first-ever trick!

I was in your first post [definately crazy LOL] My favorite is the second picture :) Who knows with these rehomes .[ He did kinda look like he knew what to do] Maybe Kiwi did a trick thing at some point in his life .You just never asked him ! :)

If Kiwi learned to pull a cart around, that would make my year :) He hasn't ever shown much interest in trick training (why I haven't pushed it), but your right, who knows what he did in his prior homes? He does seem to be fairly inquisitive and intelligent, there's just not been a way (yet) to channel those traits into doing my bidding:09:

Wanted to add to Pinky- if your birds like the toothbrush handles, I bet they would LOVE the kind of balls/blocks (like the first pic) with stuff in them! They're baby toys, and virtually indestructible, but very very intriguing to busy beaks. Especially the ones with cooler stuff in them, like little animals and people.

That's a great idea, I have a chain of plastic baby rings that hang of keiko's stand.
