Hi everyone!
I'm Jisca and live in the Netherlands!
I just found this forum today while on the journey of finding more info on quakers, and decided to join right away.
I have two budgie boys at the moment, Nooka and Indy, and I adore them! Cute little poofy things.
I was slightly misinformed with other people their definitions on 'tame budgie', and thought 2 budgies would be more interactive than only going on the hand when you have food. But I've found that was what people meant for the most part haha, ah well, still love them to bits of course!
But since I was hoping for an interactive friend to have around me, that would love to be scritched and sit with me, and put up some occasional sass for a laugh, I think a quaker parrot would be more my thing! So I'm on the look out to adopt one, and I'm actively searching for one in the neighborhood. I've read up a lot about them and am aware of their realistic (hadn't really found that with the budgies at that time) cons and pros, and I just think they're amazing.
Oh! And here are some cute pictures of my boys, the pictures are from 2 months ago however, it's tough to take newer pics since they think my phone is scary...

. Your boys sure are cute! Most of the time it's easier to get a very tame interactive budgie if they are away from the companionship of other budgies. Even better if they're hand fed.

. Good luck in finding one. I know they are pretty common in the US, but when I was living in Central America nobody had ever heard of them (or maybe just knew them as "those little green birds") so I have no clue how common they are where you live, but I bet you can find one.
