Sweet Pea - green Indian Ringneck born 3/12/11; Chiquita - yellow Indian Ringneck born 3/15/11; Pepper - Timneh African Grey born 7/9/84; Bubba - Pacific Parrotlet born 3/8/11
My wife and I are proud new "parents" of two Indian Ringneck siblings and a Timneh African Grey.

We met our first two on a trip to the local bird shop, Chief's Bird Cabin, in Orlando. Sweet Pea and Chiquita are brother and sister, with the male, Sweet Pea, being green, and his sister, Chiquita, a pretty yellow Ringneck. We adopted them back in June of 2011 as our anniversary gifts to each other. They are now 5 months old.

A couple weeks later, the opportunity presented itself for us to adopt an African Grey. We travelled about an hour to go see her and instantly fell in love. Her owner had passed away and she was living with the niece at that time, but she couldn't keep her. She is a 27 yr old Timneh African Grey, very talkative, and what a whistler! We brought her home in her cage (which was a bit small for her) and worked immediately to give her a bigger home, which we were able to do a few days later.

As new parrot owners, we have been doing a lot of studying up on the care of our new family members and look forward to getting involved as much as possible on this forum.

Welcome, I have a ringneck also.
You'll find some great advice on this board.
I'm fairly new here and I've already learned quite a bit.
