New to the Forum, first Conure

Hey everyone,

I did post a post in the introduction forum, but I wanted to put something here too.

I'm very excited to report that we got our first Conure last night, a "Fancy" Yellow Sided Green Cheek, male, Hatched March 15th.

I've since learned that the "fancy" part means nothing

Anyway, we call this guy Franklin and he's such a joy. The first thing he did when he saw us at the pet store was bob his head, roll over on his back, regurgitate and do a summersault. We just had to have him and well, he's working out GREAT so far.

We took him out of the take home box in the car and he LOVED his car ride home. Even took a little snooze.

He's just doing amazing and I had no idea how fun GCC's truly are!

Looking forward to meeting other conure lovers here and learning all I can.

He is such a cutie. I have a pineapple, two normals, a cinnamon and a yellowsided green cheek. I love their personality, they love to have fun and have huge egos. They do not know they are little birds, they think they are one of the big guys.
