Parrots
I have three parrots, two Alexandrines and one Indian Ringneck.
Hello all!

As you all know from the title, I'm new here.

So my names Cyndi and my other halves name is Joel and we have two beautiful parrots. One is a Indian Ringneck named Eclipse. Sassy as they come and extremely clever. The other is an Alexandrine Parrot, named Jasper. Unfortunately Jasper has a problem with one of his legs and struggles to get around his cage but we are finding ways to make it easier for him. He has a beautiful personality and extremely gentle and calm.

You found the best parrot community in the Universe!
Welcome!

Hi Cyndi and Joel! Welcome to the party! Your flock sounds wonderful, I love thier names. Thank you for giving Jasper the custom care needed to accommodate his physical challenge. We have several members with a variety of birds with special needs, they've also found creative ways to help thier feathered family members stay healthy and happy. Enjoy the forums.

A warm welcome to Cyndi, Joel, and the flock!! Thanks for joining, may your stay on the forum be happy!

First, 'Thank-You' of taking in a special needs Parrots. I am very comfortable saying that there will be great rewards for you from your Parrot and Parrots, and beyond.

Welcome to the Parrot Forums! As seen in the above Posts, its a truly wonderful place for open and honest individuals as you clearly are part.

A few recommended Web Searches that I have found to be very helpful with our Amazons over the years: Special Needs Birds, Special Needs Parrots, Handicapped Birds and Handicapped Parrots.

What you will find is that you are not alone and that as a group of people we all share our knowledge and provide help and kind words when needed.

I'm very happy to hear that you are already adjusting to your Parrots needs. When you get a moment, please define the issue(s) that is causing your Parrots problem with the leg.

Also, Please take you Parrots to an Avian Vet for a 'New' Bird Examination and also a closer look at your babies leg. This will help greatly in what recommendations members should provide and save you from directions that may not best support your babies needs.

Again, Welcome and Thank-You!
