Getting one soon. :D
Hello! I'm an 11 year old girl who really wants to buy a green cheeked conure and loves to read stories about birds! I want to provide the best possible care for the bird once I get him/her, so here I am. :) Anyways, hello, and hope to see you around!

Welcome to the forum. The best way to care for a new bird is to read everything you can about the species, then keep an open mind, because every bird is different, has their own personalities, problems & quirks and what works for one bird may not work for another bird.

Also, keep in mind that we all live in different environments, just like you and your friends do.....your friends parents may let them do something your parents won't let you do. Learning how to read various stories about other birds, then being able to see the best parts that you can apply to your situation & your bird is the secret.

Don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand something & don't let people get to you if they don't agree with your ideas or viewpoint.....nobody has all the answers, nobody is always right...and...we all started in the same place.....the beginning.

Good luck with your newfeathered friend when you get him.her.....

Welcome :D

A great thing to keep in mind is that when you buy a young bird it's still a sweet baby. It may be testing it's limits but generally young birds are amazing and most people can't help but fall in love. Soon they will go through puberty and many green cheeks are given away, sold, or ignored. After that they might be more difficult during breeding season every year. Do a lot of research about trick training/training, diet, safety, and overall care.

Welcome to the forum and their are lots of green cheek owners on here that can help you with question you may have. They are a neat very pretty little bird:)
