New to Forum

Hi,
I'm Tania from Jacksonville, Fl....new to forum...
I have a beautiful 9week old Catalina Macaw...
His name is Gator, and I have had him since he was 3 weeks old...
Boy oh boy, is he changing.....lol
I am not new to parrots, I have handfed many babies.... But this is the first macaw that I have owned. I am owner of a Home Health Agency here in Jacksonville and of course take my baby with me to work...lol he enjoys the ride everyday..

This forum/site looks like it has some great information!!!!!
Anyone out there have a Catalina?

No macaw's here, but just 4 days ago I adopted an amazon parrot who's first owner passed away and she plucked herself 1/2 naked. I have several posts talking about her because I can't hardly contain my excitement!

Thanks so much for the welcoming....
Gator had his first bath tonight....he didn't really know what to do...lol
I ran water in the tub and put him in it, afterwards i had snuggle time with him, in a towel of course, and then I blow dried him and he absolutely loved that...
I swear I think he is already trying to talk to me...

Gator has not ate good today, he ate about half his 2nd feeding and half his 3rd feeding.
I have given him pellets to start playing with and he is crunching them like crazy (not sure if he is eating any). Also, gave him some fruit and sweet peas, but again don't know if he is actually eating any....
He seems to busy to eat and will not be still..,he is flapping his wings a lot and perching pretty good...could he be about to fledge?
