I just got a wonderful Timneh Grey a few days ago. She is the sweetest baby! Here is a little video I took of her

Just so you know, the breeder gave her to me unfledged, and that is why her wings aren't clipped, but she is really flying very well in home. I read that most breeders let them fly around for at least 10-14 days before clipping the wings.

My question about eating, is that the first 2 days she has been here, she hasn't eaten much at all, but today, she has been a little pig. She has been constantly eating pretty much since I got home from work, which was a few hours ago. I can't really tell if she is actually eating the food or just playing with it, because the food looks to be mostly there still, but she is definitely munching a lot.

Is this just because she hadn't eaten very well the first couple of days? Or should I remove her food? She is very young still and know that she probably needs more food since she is still a baby.

My senegal, Max, is doing well with her, though, he is quite anxious when she decides to fly to his cage and it actually seems that Willow is more jealous of him than he is of her. Granted, Max has never been an extremely needy or social fellow. Hahaha.

Awe, she is beautiful!!!!
I would leave her food available and let her eat all she wants especially while she is adjusting to her new home . I have a TAG as well . He is 7 mos old and is a real sweetie . I leave his food in his cage available to him at all times and he just climbs down when he is ready to eat.

Thank you! She is a real sweetheart and so much different than my Senegal! It has been very rewarding so far with her.

I figured I can do the same and she will regulate her food herself, like my Senegal does. I just didn't want her to gorge herself. Of course now she has stopped eating and is making herself even more beautiful!

What a beautiful baby! Thanks for sharing with us.

She is adorable! How old is she? She looks very young. I would offer comfort feedings to her.

I spoon feed my Cosmo oatmeal or sweet potatoes in the evening and he really loves it : )
You might try that with Willow...

I think I should. She has been making a lot of "peep peep" noises. Sounding like a squeaky hinge. So I warmed up some fresh veggies for her but she wanted me to hand feed them to her. She did the whole head bobbing swallowing thing with her head and just hate the veggies like that, but she was still wanting more.

Tomorrow I will stop by the store and get some oatmeal to spoon feed her when she needs some. I don't trust myself to use a syringe with her.

Here is another TAG person - me. Your bird does look very young and is most likely just taking it all in. Like GC suggested feed her warm, soft foods. Example oatmeal.
I started my TAG out at a very young age feeding her mashes made with veggies and cornbread and some other birdie goodies. I also suggest not to feed her wet foods in the cage. This can be a bonding moment to feed her with a spoon at your table. Have her watch you eat also. I remove all food from the cage at bedtime so it will not tempt the bugs. Birds sleep at night they do not eat. Good luck and please ask more if you have any concerns.

You can use a food processor for the mashes.
