Very pretty!
My boyfriend and I really want a snake, but haven't gotten one yet. I tried to get him to handle the ones at the Petco near by but he was a little nervous to!
Ooh!! Just as gorgeous as all your others! It reminds me of "butterscotch"!
I used to keep snakes (co-founder of the Greater New York Herpetology Society), and had over 100 snakes at one point. By far our hardest to handle was the reticulated pythons, which would strike every time they were handled. Second most hardest was our Porto Rican tree boa, who being arboreal ( tree dwelling) had long fangs in the front to go thru feathers easily. Lightening fast and would strike almost every time. Of course, the rattle snakes we had were not handled, but were not really vicious.
We had 10 African Rock Pythons and most were easy going, except for one. Generally most boas are easy going. Generally. Feeding time is the exception, when most snakes just strike at anything moving. Nice looking examples above !!
Victoria.....you're doing it again.....making me drool all over my (already sticky and slimy) keyboard! :32:
What a beauty!!!
That pair is gorgeous. I never get tired of seeing the snake pics you post. I had no idea how many beautiful colors and patterns and different morphs there are!
I assume that just like different species or breeds of other kinds of pets, you see different general personality characteristics with the different snake species you have. What species (or individual that you have) do you find the most challenging?
You need to stop with the snake threads.
NOW I WANT ONE!!!
I already have too many pets, lol
Lol snakes don't require that much work you won't even notice! Which one do you want though so many options:54:

Something big....python or boa. It's more of a space/money issue, really. My parents live with me, as well as a couple siblings, so between the 2 large fish tanks, 5 cats, 2 dogs, and doubled-up bird cages.... no space, lol
Maybe someday. :54:
Get the siblings a doghouse or tent in the yard to sleep in
How big is big in your book? 15', 20', 7'? I love the Burmese and if you don't mind a giant I would go that way when you can though the laws are a bit annoying on them.

Depending on how empty the house was.... Anything over 5' would be great. 20' might be a bit much tho, lol
Not much for laws about them up here tho, they wouldn't survive the winter if they got loose.
