SO I let Timneh sit on my head a few times and now I regret it. She flies ontop of my head now, it didn't seem a problem at first bbut sometimes she digs her beak into my head it doesn't hurt usually but sometimes she does it pretty hard. I give her a time out on her cage, I had to lock her up yesterday cause she would just fly back to me and not take her time out. Definitely feels like terrible twos have hit. I'm being tested for worthiness I think, will you guys help me succeed to worthiness for my master.

I wish you luck. My Bella is giving me Heck right now. defensive of her cage. Does not want me to scratch her.
trying to show me who is boss

I would work on target training with her, and teach her the appropriate spots to fly to. Get a little tabletop stand or other T perch and whenever she flies to your head, put her there and give her a little treat. Any other training, use the stand. You'll teach her that it's a fun place to go, and that she gets rewarded for going there. You can use word commands if you like, such as "perch" and practice recall training. It won't take her long to realize that the stand is the place for yummy treats. Unfortunately you can't really punish her for what she's doing because she won't understand, and she hasn't yet been taught what's the appropriate thing to do.

Now, if I could get my cockatiels to not land on my head, that would be a real feat.

Target training may be a great help. Greys can be ultra-stubborn and aren't easily dissuaded. Good technique may be to give Timneh a *better* place to land!

we bought one table top perch and she is terrified of it even after more than a month of being in her sight. I bet if I cut my hair again it will help also. I think she knows shes not suppose to dig her beak into my head cause she will test different pressures to see my reaction and even lets out an "Oww?" almost like a question like are you lying to me this doesn't really hurt. She love mischief thats for sure. The other day she flew into the kitchen said a bunch of gibberish and started laughing. So I said are you a comedian now, she said Yes and ran up my arm laughing like a loon.

Might I suggest a hat or hood for keeping her off your head? Extra paraise/rewards for landing where she is allowed. Oh, and a whole lot of patience as you work with her to get her to understand good and bad behavior. Parrots don't always learn the first, second or 150th time:D

Definitely try target training, but I don't really mind when a bird lands on my head. And don't punish her by locking her in the cage, because birds really don't understand punishment. Instead, give her treats whenever she lands somewhere else and train her to go to her perch on command, so you can get her off your head when she does land there. Target training is like the easiest thing you can teach your bird. Birds will naturally want to play with the stick, so just give them a treat when they touch it with their beak. To teach them "Go to perch" just put a treat on the perch or target them there and say "perch" or similar cue and point to the perch. They should fly there to get the treat. Then it's just a matter of practicing until you can only give them the treat after they've flown on command.
