New play perch for Roux

[Aplanis]

Since Roux is having her first molt of her primary feathers she has gotten the ability to fly. She's actually flying really well.

I plan after all the wing feathers grow in to get her clipped with a flight clip so she can still fly a bit.

I wanted to start training her for recall though. I was going to buy training perches but decided to get a gym perch instead. That way she has something to play on as well. Plus was way cheaper than the training perches.

I bought it from Amazon. I took the advice of some of the reviewers and wrapped certain metal areas with sisal rope. She was skittish at first but now flies to it. Added a wood ladder bridge and some toys.

I'm just enjoying watching her exploring and learning how to get around on it.

If you're looking for a perch or play area, I would recommend this. Seed catcher, removable tray, wheels, storage shelf

I have that play gym. It's awesome. I like to decorate ours for the holidays.

I had that play stand too, but on my screened porch in Florida, so it wasn’t long before it rusted. Had to get a plastic one.
