And her beak has always looked like this, but is there anything I can do to improve it?

Matty is just beautiful! And she looks to be SO very sweet, too. Thanks so much for sharing her with us.

I don't see anything wrong with Matty's beak. ...and I do have my glasses on, lol.

Thank you. She can be very sweet indeed, although she does have her moments.

Her beak seems flaky to me. Sometimes more so than others. Perhaps that is just normal.

Marty is beautiful. What type of macaw is she?

Matty is a very pretty Macaw! Some Macaws beaks shed their outer layers more frequently than those of other Macaws. Certain birds even seem to be flaking continually. It's quite common. If you're in doubt in Matty's case, though, you should consider asking an avian vet about it.

Thank you for all the comments. She continues to stun me me her beauty.

She is a miligold. I have never been around a military, but have a B&G and I think she gets most of her traits from the military. She is also quite a bit smaller than B&Gs that I have known.

Matty is a beautiful girl! I love her blend of coloring. Her chest is strikingly bright & gorgeous.

Matty is a very pretty girl. It's always interesting to see the color patterns in the hybrids. They never seem to be quite the same. :0)
