New Movie "RIO" about Parrots

I've known about this for a few months. I can't wait!!! It looks really awesome!! Here's two more trailers:

It looks funny and really good!

Looks good, but I fear it will be full of eco-political stuff like all of the other animated movies. They never miss a chance to brainwash children.

What do you mean?

You haven't seen Avatar? Because if you have, I wonder why you would even ask. It was unapologetically blatant.

Actually, I see this is by Blue Sky, which isn't as bad as Pixar. Ice Age was mostly free of the stuff, unlike Pixar movies such as Wall-E. (I actually enjoyed Wall-E a lot, but I wouldn't let a kid watch it...)

No, I have not seen Avatar yet. I see what you're saying, like discussing governement matters in the movie, even if it's made up, right?

Yipe you hit the nail on the head Diego.....
Normally it's not made up, they have clever way of weaning it into a child's mind.

Haha, you live on a farm, Ratzy....it's going to be hard to brainwash you.

You're practically surrounded by the realities of life, and quite aware that "the wild" is not a safe, fuzzy, cuddly place where do-gooders can take a holiday without care.

City folk, who unfortunately have the majority of voting power, tend to romanticize nature, a la films like this. Don't get me wrong...I think these films are funny and clever! But I'm an adult, and have learned to question subtext. A six year old hasn't. That's how they learn some mumbo jumbo at school, come home and ask you while you're taking out the garbage, "Daddy, don't you love the environment?"

Regardless, SORRY FOR HIJACKING THE THREAD!! The movie looks funny. I'm sure I will have to see it. The "alarm clock" scene pretty much guaranteed that. We've all had that experience, in one shape or form.
