Hi. My name is Alison and I live in Englewood FLA. MY family consists of two red minpins Abby and Phoenix, 1 four yearold spanish timbrado canary named Lucas, and our newest member Sweetie Pie, a seven month old green quaker parrot whom we have had for about 4 weeks. had my heart set on a baby blue quaker and was looking for a breeder when my husband suggested we take a ride to a small mom and pop pet store in port charolett, fla. the rest is history, we asked the man at the store if he had a quaker,all I saw were reptiles and some other smaller birds, sure enough he had one left. He buys 3 week old chicks from breeders that he approves of the handfeeds and hand tames them. he told the bird to step up which he did then i said step up and he came right to me. INSTANT BOND! Home he came and we have been delighted since. his cage is about 10 inches from Lucas"s cage and Lucas never lost a beat with his singing. I am hoping he will pick up lucas songs,what do you think? ha ha thanks Alison and Sweetie Pie
