New member/new owner

Hi my name is Betty and I am so happy to have found this forum! I was given, yes given an Eclectus. Her name is Zoey and she is 2 yrs old. A friend of mine decided she was no longer able to care for her and wanted me to have her. I am already a mommy to a 30 yr old nanday conure, murdock and a 3 yr old quaker, Emmie. I love my feathered friends as well as my furbabies, I own a westie, Mindy and 4 cats, an American bobtail, Bella (indoors only), Ragdoll, Sophia (indoors only) and then General Higgens and Simon my two boys that live outside. All my pets get along very well with my birds. However I still watch them very closely when they are all together. I am married and have 2 grown children with 5 grandsons and expecting my first granddaughter in June. I am an artist. I love to oil paint and do portrait sketches. My husband is a bed patient and I have two caregivers that care for him during the day while I work. I am the Program Coordinator/Assistant Directior of a Hospital Childcare Center. I am a Christian and believe in God. I love my family and love to have a good time with them. I am looking forward to learning more about our feathered friends. :red:

Welcome to the forum! You do understand Eclectus' care right? You can't feed them pellets or just seeds. Making sure you already know that part....

It's under "user CP" and then "Edit profile picture".

Pellets are not good for ekkies at all!!!! Their diet should consist mainly fruits and veggies, and a little seeds. Mainly millet, very little sunflower seeds!!!! Then you cook sweet potatoes, chicken breast meat, hard boiled egg with shell, etc etc. You should really look up their diet! Here's couple links!!!
