Hi guys! I'm Mimi. I just got 2 10y/o Senegal parrots, Ricky and Lucy. They're super sweet! It's my first time having parrots so I'm hoping to be able to use this forum to learn how to be the best parrot mommy possible!

You're very fortunate to have found your new babies, you have years and years to enjoy and love them! They are a very intelligent species, mischievous yet very, very loving!

I found them at a bird store, I don't know where there originally from, but their last home had a lot of birds but the guy got sick and had to get rid of his birds. They're a bonded pair, but still so sweet, affectionate, and curious towards humans which I've heard is pretty uncommon.

It is uncommon, usually bonded birds (especially Senegals) aren't the friendliest towards people. But yours are adorable! Kane says "Hello! Welcome!"

Welcome to the forums, thanks for joining, Mimi!! Ricky and Lucy are beautiful and seem to have a terrific home.

Welcome! I just recently met some Senegals. First time I'd been around them. They seem like great birds, very smart and so cute in their vests!

I love and adore all my birds, but I have to say my Sennie has a special place in my heart. Don't tell the others, but he's my favorite. Senegals are just so full of personality. They're all the attitude of the biggest macaw packed into a little tiny body. You're going to love them. Congrats on your new additions!

They're extremely adorable! But then I'm partial to the Poicephalus genus :). The first pics are especially cute with them holding their apples.

Wow very striking pair you have there I love the greayhead and bright body colors ... The also have a more hawk like face very neat I'm happy they found a good home the look very happy

Welcome! Hope you find this site helpful! Your babies are very cute!
