Dave a blue kakariki parakeet
Hi weā€™ve had our beautiful blue kakariki for 12 weeks & a few weeks ago,he stopped chirping & last week was unable to fly,so we did the right thing & took him to an avian vet,who said he was very sick šŸ˜¢,heā€™s very under weight,so we now have some special powder which is mixed with water to a yogurt consistency to feed him but Iā€™m struggling to get him to take it from the syringe & spoon,im able to get the antibiotics in him,as itā€™s only a 0.02ml dose, but he needs to have 1ml of the food 3 times a day, please can anybody help with ideas as to how else I can get him to take it,many thanks.

The only suggestion i could make is maybe adding to the food, like maybe a little bit of fruit juice.
I am not sure though, its just a suggestion
