Looks like NJ is taking over these here forums :) Good to see so many fellow Jersians on here. I'm sure I've probably seen a few of you at Bird Paradise at some point hehe. There are so few places to go. I've only found 3. Bird Paradise, Todd Marcus, and Fancy Feathers. I've heard of a place in Turnersville called For the Birds, but don't know anything about them. I am from South Jersey so those are the larger places. Bird Paradise is the furthest from me, but where I go for just about everything. I am always looking for options tho and curious to hear from you Jersey bird aficionados where you go. I am not opposed to a good drive if it's worth it.

Thanks!!

Adam, you just listed the ones I've been to, even though they are quite a ways for me. No, wait, I haven't been back to Todd Marcus since he moved out of his old place, near Philly (forgot the name).

I actually got my Niko from Ursula @ Fancy Feathers and my Ripley from BP. :D

There is a VERY small store near me, called Angel's Bird Jungle, but it's not worth visiting, IMHO.

I do the vast majority of shopping online at www.mysafebirdstore.com :)

Like Wendy, I go to Bird Paradise when I shop at a brick & mortar store. I got Rosie there and am very comfortable there. Plus, they always ask how Rosie is and proceed to tell me how she is the sweetest bird they ever had. HA...they didn't see her yesterday! ;)

I went to Todd Marcus once to look at birds and haven't been back. Nothing horrible, just didn't love the setup and the birds behind glass made me sad.

When I shop online it is at mysafebirdstore.com. They are awesome, :)

I actually do a lot of shopping from My Safe Bird Store. But, their version of food that is similar to the BP blend, my birds don't like for some reason... I think because they put toys and stuff in it and it freaks them out or something. Dunno. Just wasted alot more of the food I got from them, so I went back to BP's food. But I traditionally shop online from both of them. I was looking for more options for some of the larger items or the home made toy things. Ursula is great. I love her aviary! But her selection is a little small and her prices are a little higher. And I agree with Todd Marcus. Haven't been there since they moved either.

I mainly go to For The Birds. Thats where I got my Fred, And it's about 10 min from my house. Sometimes I go there for food and BS for an hour. Good People.

She mainly deals with small to medium birds. Rarely does she have a macaw or cockatoo for sale.

We got Pooka and Bela from Bird Paradise. Of all the places that I've been to around here, I agree Kendra, they know us. They ask about our birds. And the selection is insane! Thats actually where we went to get Wanda's new cage. Their bird prices are a little high comparatively, but I always feel confident that I am getting a well hand raised, healthy, sexed and tested bird. I have never had a bad experience there and outside of finding a trusted reputable breeder, they are IMHO the best available option. I even like that they are against just selling a bird out right without bonding and getting to know them and that they even have a bonding area. I drove an hour each way once to twice a week for 6 weeks to bond with our birds before we took them home. But.. Ok, I am starting to sound like a commercial.
I will check out For the Birds. It's closest for sure.

Adam, are you signed up with their emails for promotions? I got 2 of my cages from them with 30% off, and free shipping, which was SO very worth it. :D AND my Ripley came with a big, free cage, but I used that one for one of my Amazons. :)

Oh yeah hehe. And I get their "birdy bucks" I saved like $200 on the cage I got.

I got my girl in MA but recently went to the Paterson Bird Store. They had 2 Galah's and I got to hold one. I was in love but I can't have a Galah right now. The store has a large selection of toys, treats, and cages. There's another one in Chester I'd like to visit. I believe it's called World of Birds.

Of course I'm totally jealous. You guys by far seem to have the best bird stores in south Jersey!

I have to resort to petco & petsmart for the most part so I do almost all my shopping online. I'm in Vermont.

Be thankful you lucky devils. Lol! ;)

That stinks!! The Petco & Petsmart stores here don't have much for the big macs. Usually one toy or so and not the durable kind!

Same here. Thank god for online shopping!! :D

We got our grey from Bird Paradise, and we order all our food from them on line. I really like the store, Its just a hall for us to go there.
Fancy Feathers Exotic is where our Green Wing came from, again really like the place , just too far of a drive for me to visit often.
World of Birds, we've been to many times. Its a nice place. Never really bought anything there, don't know why.
Patterson Bird Store, was a nice close place to go, bought a lot from them including the cage for our B&G. But after our last visit, Id rather go to Pet Smart.
We also go to where we got our B&G Fancy Feathers Aviary. Its a small place. But we feel were well taken care of there.

That's my take from up here in Morris Co.
