Male Eclectus died 2 weeks ago- only 15 years old
Found a blue male Indian Ringneck
I'm a new member and it's been so long since I've had a baby. He'll be fully weaned, fledged, DNA'd
Well, I've already had to break down my stainless steel cage from my beloved "Solomon" SIE, spacing bars were 1". So what I'm asking is I've already bought the correct cage, but I already set it up with toys, perched, should I not have done that? Would the 3 hanging toys and foot toys scare him?
Also his night cage is a lot smaller than his bigger new aviary. It is 18"tall all around-square. Is that too small for a night cage?
Thank you for any response

Hello and welcome! I think that your cage set up should be fine to try him in, and when you get him home you will be able to tell if it stresses him out. and you can remove things if need be.
Have you been thinking of names? I'd love to see pictures when you have some of him:)
Glad you joined us!

I thought I already made my intro, I'm still grieving over my 15year old Eclectus
I just lost 2 weeks today so I might have not, just was told to do it again.
Anyway looking for support on my adopted baby blue male Indian ringneck
The question was; Would it be too overwhelming for him to be in his "indoor aviary" with 2 hanging toys, foot-toys in a basket, and a couple perch's?
Stupid question I know, but its been a long time since I had a baby
Question 2; Is a 18'tall(square) too small for a night cage?
While I've learned as much as I can, could anyone suggest a good book specific to IRN?
Whats the difference between Asia and African ones for instance? I didn't like the
only 2 books they had on Amazon, so any help would be great.
I'll post his pic as soon as I get him, 3 weeks.
