Normal (or not so!) Grey Cockatiel
Hi. I've had my cockatiel for about 14 years (in October this year) and look forward to many more years with him. I was actually on another forum years ago but they are now no longer active unfortunately. Not many around that are anymore except a few. Anyway, look forward to getting to know everyone's fids.

Hi and welcome to the forum smbrds whats your cockatiels name ? Hope we get to see some pics of him soon. Enjoy the forum :)

Thanks for the welcome. Even though he's going to be 14 this year I still think that's young. Tiels have been living a lot longer than what the books have said.

Welcome!

My cockatiel's name is also baby! Well not really. It's really Dusty, but I also call him Baby or Baby Bird a lot. Also Buster, Birdy, Bird, Mr Bird, D, Little D, Little Buddy and many more ;)

We love bird pictures here by the way!

Very nice. I say Little Buddy too, "my little buddy," Little Birdy, Baby Bird, Baby Birdy, Little Guy. Tiels are little guys to me. :grey:

Thanks all for the welcome. I'll post more pics soon.

Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy a nice long stay! Baby is beautiful, love the close-up pic!!

Thanks. I love your toos. Toos are my favorite. A friend of mine I knew a long time ago had a moluccan and rose-breasted. I really loved the RB2 because he was more "manageable." One day I hope to have an RB2 or citron. Most definitely an RB2 though.

Cockatiels are closely related to toos, so you have a foot in the door! Toos are my favorites as well, though they are an acquired affinity. Very challenging but extraordinarily rewarding!!

Agree. That's right, they are related...! I refer to tiels as their little cousins. I was comfortable around the cockatoos probably because of the somewhat similarity they share in showing emotion (crest, etc.), even though they are 10x of what Baby is. Very true how I have the foot in the door already...:D Very tempting. For now Baby is my one and only. As a matter of fact, around here aren't very many available RB2s. One day.
