Cody-Blu, female Blue-Crowned Conure, Hatched - (approx) June 1, 2014, in a South Florida tree.

Pritti (Cherry-Head Conure) -- Fly in Peace my beautiful boy. Forever I'll love you.
This collapses into a lightweight, flat, disc shape and goes in a plastic case. I just showed it to Pritti and he zoomed in and is playing in there. Front mesh door rolls down and zippers to enclose. Great for parks, vacations, office, etc. pretty big...u can see him all the way in back. $28 USD Target.

That is very roomy! Can he chew through it though?

Mango would chew through that screen. I made her an flight area with screen on my pool deck last year and she chewed a hole day 1.

That's cute the way you have that set up :) a perfect little porta-playground.

That's bigger than what I thought! I think it's great and definitely depends on the bird and how it is used. For a mobile/temporary enclosure with a bird who is not a crazed chewer (like mine), this works. Thanks for sharing, WBAP!

It would only take a conure about 15 minutes to chew through that if he were so inclined... I've had thicker sweatshirt material turned to rags by conures on our 15 minute evening walks...

Yes, for sure he can chew through it! But he won't. I carefully chose things to put in there that keep him very occupied and that he likes to chew more than he would want to chew this. Escpecially the cardboard box and rope. So far, I have only used it with the front flap wide open. If he was ever closed in and was hating it so much he wanted out enought to chew his way out, I would just take him out. It's new for us.

The screening is more like a thick thread than it is wire or plastic. He showed no interest in chewing it today. He went in twice and each time he did the walking tour and went to work right away playing or chewing something I put in there. I have it in the middle of the family room. I'll just pull out the things and fold it up, taking only about a minute.

That is cute. It is like the crate in my car that my dogs ride in. My Gilbert would have that thing trashed. Lol! But as a playpen it is really cute and I could see how it could work. Gilbert likes running around and playing with foot toys.
