New Hahns macaw

Just wanted to share my excitement tomorrow I am picking up my new Hahns macaw. He is 6 months old and is quite the playful little character. Here is a pic from when I first went and met him a week ago.

And here is a pic of his daytime home (he will be inside at night time).

I didn't like the look of the poxy food dishes that came with it and I wanted to lock those food doors so they can't be opened so put in something a bit better

I can't wait I'll get the rig camera out and take some proper photos when he arrives.

Thanks guys very excited. Do all approve of his outside cage? At nighttime he will sleep inside away from the nasties.

I approve of it, but then again I have 3 tiny birds, I'm not sure about macaw cages, even if its a Hahm's macaw. Congrats on your new additon! He seems very sweet. A hahns is my dream bird.

Still crappy phone photo but here he is he has warmed up to me quite quickly and now let's me scratch his head (he wouldnt last week when i first met him) Very happy!

lovely parrot. i have a 9 year old hahns. excellent little character .

i also have just bought another hahns . he/she is currently 3 weeks old getting ready to be hand reared in a week. cant wait to bring him/her home in about 10 weeks .

what size is the bar spacing on your cage ?

Congrats Ducorp on the new Hahns. Bar spacing is just under 2cm so about 3/4inch in the old money. That cage is now his full time cage (when he is in one) and is now inside.
