Parrots
A pair of cockatiels
And pair of African Greys
I have a CAG who is now 13 month old. It is a beautiful stage now when her coordination became good and she is checking her abilities. Everyday we have a new sound that she can produce and a new behavior.
This week I suddenly saw her hanging upside down and thought that she was falling so I helped her to get down. But after few minutes she hung up again. Apparently this is her new game. She hangs herself upside down and play. I think maybe it's a common parrot behavior but none of my other parrot ever did something like that. It is so funny.

Here are the videos I took.

What a silly bird!! Thanks for sharing the video.

Every evening, my Quaker hangs upside down in the corner of her cage just like a bat. It's definitely a parrot thing :)

Bwahaha! Look at him attack that ball with his beak and foot! He is terribly cute. Macaws are also well known for hanging upside down and having a ball as well. My friend's birds did out all the time in their aviary. Enjoy your funny bird.

Interesting, I would like to know do they do the same thing in the wild...

Yes, I think Messi could learn a thing or two from my upside down football player:)

Very much parrot behaviour, our Amazon does it all the time. Looks like she's having a lot of fun.

Thanks for that input.
Indeed it looks like she loves it.

That was so much fun to watch! She sure is acting like one VERY happy CAG. And she's SO beautiful!!! Thanks so much for sharing the clips.

And yes, it is typical parrot behavior, even though it may look suicidal at times. :D
