1 Green Cheeked Conure
(See other thread for bit of other info :) )

We just got Fischer (unknown sex) yesterday (Already escaped once today)

Going to be doing lots of Googling & reading for notes & behavioral info today.

We used to have 1 Conure & 2 Parakeets (Both Parakeets passed this last year) they were at least 10 Years Old.

Polly the Conure was acting(??) depressed and trying to spend way more time snuggling with me than their normal alloof behavour, so the Wife decided she wanted to get them another friend. After a while of searching she fell in love with a Fischer (Looked a bit like a miniature version of Polly) so now we've got a new member to the flock.

Congrats on your new lovebird, very pretty:)

Wow, she's gorgeous!! (if she's a she, lol)

From what I have been reading, it's best to use different sizes and styles of perches instead of dowels, to give their feet a variety. There's something called "splayed foot" that they get from standing only on dowels, you might want to look into that.

I'm a new lovebird owner as well, and I've been reading and reading since Christmas!!

I'll be getting some other perches (and a Sand Perch) also soon, I just couldn't reuse some of the older ones. Right now the Swinging Perch is a larger diamater then the main long one, and later today they should have a few more toys being added..

In a month or two when they're more acclimatized to the office I've also got a few playstands that they'll have access to, but I have to get them used to their home first. (Though after their first escape they did get back in their cage on their own without the towel being needed)

ETA: Last Sand Perch I used for my Budgies were like these & they enjoyed them

Just got a call, Sundance was at the bottom of the cage dead :( have no idea what happened. Was fine yesterday, eating and throwing it food around. Had to leave early this morning, but the were up on their perch sleeping.
