Skittles has a bunch of new feathers coming in. She can't reach the ones on the back of her head and neck. Is there anything I need to do or should I just leave them alone until they grow out?

Here some photos after a bath where you can see easily see them.

Thanks, Tom

If she allows it, you can gently pinch or roll the new feathers between your fingers to help loosen the keratin on them.... do be careful though, they are rather sensitive!

Ditto on the sensitive part. Usually I kinda just rub them, and if they're loose they come off. Then I tried to pinch them. Worked once, twice, and on the third time, I accidentally broke the feather. My bird didn't notice. I decided I'm just gonna let them go on their own lol.

:) I help my blue n gold prean.. I use my fingers n roll to help break off the wax... But you have to Look at them... If they have color to them. Don't preen shoes they aren't ready... And are very sore to the touch... Just help preen the ones that are clear wax almost Look white....shoes are ready for preening.. :) good luck
