Last week when I picked my daughter up from school, the mom of one of her friends asked me if I would be interested in adopting her female cockatiel Binky. She honestly told me she didn't have enough interest in the bird anymore to give her the attention she deserves. After giving it some thought I decided I would go for it and picked her up five days ago!
She came with her cage and everything, wich is nice and big. She is still quite nervous and quick to hiss, most likely because her previous owner had the habit of picking her up from the back and propping the bird inbetween her boobs to 'cuddle' lol. I've seen this happen, the poor bird looked terrified! I'll be taking it easy with her, she's so shy but has such a sweet demeanour still. She is curious about all her new toys as well and, wich is a good sign I guess. Can't wait for her little personality to come out
Now, time for some pictures!
