So... a month ago I started making Bird muffins of my own recipe to recondition my birds to eat more pellets.

They have everything in them that a bird could readily need..
So many fruits and veggies and such that its not even funny.

Pellets... seeds you name it.. its in there.

Strange thing is, Porter likes it so much that they are all he will eat.

Won't touch his apple, veggies or even his grapes barely anymore.

I'm not all that worried about it.. but maybe I should just give him veggies and fruit in the morning and his muffin in the evening?

Maybe he's just sick of apple?

If so.. I suppose its time to pull out the pumpkin.

Sometimes when the food ends up crushed/sliced or hidden like in a birdie bread or a mash, the birds forget what food looks like maybe....

Porter knows what food looks like. His bread goes in several dishes around the cage. He has a BIG plate of fresh sliced vegetables...

And his frozen chop.

Porter goes around and plucks the bread out of its hiding places and eats that all day.

When its gone he screams for more and refuses to touch his fresh fruits even when offered them by hand.

OR he goes to his dish and starts flinging what he doesn't want and screaming more.

*Laughs*

Maybe he just has too much fun searching for it.

If that's the case you would want to feed the muffins separately! Otherwise he just wouldn't touch the other stuffs period.
