Well, not quite. I have to wait another 4 weeks until he/she is weaned. Then I get to bring my new baby home and I am so excited I'm about to burst!
I am getting a sweet baby crimson bellied conure. Yay!
I have only had budgies and got 2 cockatiels this past christmas. My knowledge is still limited but that hasn't stopped me and I do plan on adding to my flock as my knowledge grows.
If anyone has one of these little CBC or can direct me I would be most appreciative of any help and suggestions. I have been reading about them for about 4 months, but any advice I can get from the source would be great.
I live in Wyoming, not any aviarys or breeders here to ask questions. I will have to drive to Utah to get my little one.
I'm here to learn!
Thanks!

Hi Wyogirl and welcome.
Please don't burst, that might be messy :53:
I can't give an CBC specific advise, but perhaps if you post in the Conure section, you'll grab someone's attention with that info.

Congrats on your soon-to-be new flock member.

Do you have an avian vet nearby for check-ups and stuff?

wyogirl I think I left you a message in AA. Anyway get on the internet and look up crimson bellied conure care. There are lots of sites out there with lots of information that will help you. The care for a CBC is the same as any conure. Find out what your breeder has been weaning the bird on and continue to feed it that. I feed mine roudy-bush crumbles and harrisons super fine pellets and zupreme fruitblend and he eats all that great. Remember to give it lots of fresh fruits and veggies daily. NO CHOCOLATE, NO ALCOHOL, NO AVACODO. Again spend as much time on the internet looking up crimson bellied conures and their care. A good site is pampered peeps it is a bird breeder in Az. Good luck and message me if you have any questions.

I feel your excitement as I am also picking up a CBC in about 4 weeks.

Welcome to the forum, wyogirl. :) Your excitement about your soon-to-be-home CB conure shines through. :D

hi, im new member and im glad because i have the chance to be with you all. I have 2 ringnecks (pair). 15 days ago when i looked in their nest i saw 3 eggs!!!! tHE MALE ringneck is the nest during the day and the female during the night (sometimes they are both in the nest during the night).
