Things have turned out really well with the sun conure I got off craigslist a few days ago, very friendly (and needy), has a good appetite and is very playful. I just got him into his new cage, and he seems to like it!

Looks like a great sized cage! Now you just need to fill it with a variety of toys and perches to keep your new sun entertained! Well, if he doesn't spend all that time staring at you, that is! ;)

haha you'd be lucky if he spends all his time looking at you! my lukah will scream if I leave the room, or if he's bored, or if he is angry... or happy... or upset... or excited... or whenever he displays any emotion! hahah toys keep him busy though :) except now he gets angry at his toys and makes little angry noises while he fights with them! haha

he has a play hut that I keep a ton of foot toys in. He usually only plays with them in the morning but yesterday he spent an hour and a half throwing everything in it onto the floor of his cage and then laughing like crazy!

good ideas for things to get for it would be any and all toys you find! Figure out what he likes. Lukah doesn't care for string or paper all that much but is crazy about wood and metal and BELLS. he loves bells. You can also get a little bin and put foot toys in it. They sell foot toys online for tons of money, but I just put random little things in Lukah's. He has some carribeaners and a few of the extra metal clasps that aren't hanging up his toys as well as some bark, some beads (big ones) and some old bracelets I don't wear anymore.

Also foraging toys are great! I personally have this one Hanging Buffet Ball Kabob by Creative Foraging - CREATIVE FORAGING SYSTEM by MY SAFE BIRD STORE (except without the catcher at the bottom... though that would be super useful!) and Lukah LOVES it. Literally. I think he's in love with it.

Your cage is a great size and your little guy will be very very happy :) Message me if there's anything else I can help with!

This is almost identical to the cage I have for my GCC. Only the way that the perch attaches at the top is different! Looks like he's going to be very happy! :)

A very nice cage you've got there!!!! Just keep an eye on the happy hut!!!!!

very nice cage and a good start with the setup. go on and get him more things now! ;3

Thanks guys. Yeah a coworker almost had a happy hut kill his conure in gonna an eye on it. He doesn't use it yet but I'm sure he'll sleep in it soon.

Haha he screams whenever I leave the room and don't take him. I'll get him more toys to occupy him. He likes wood and bells for sure. String doesn't seem to interest him, he likes towels! Lol

Wow! Fantastic cage!!! Lucky conure!!! I have a playtop like that and fill a bowl with all kinds of bells, buttons, trinkets, ripped paper, feathers, etc. and Kiwi LOVES to pick them out one by one and drop the off the side of the cage. Funny to watch..but not so funny when you accidentally step on a bell - OW!

Lukah has five bell toys in his cage right now and I'm just waiting to take another trip to petsmart to get even more! He's a bell addict! he wears them on his head, fights with them, hangs upside down on them, conducts orchestras with them and laughs inside them!

Wow, lucky conure. Beautiful cage, and bird. Have fun with him.
