New budgie question

So the newest and oldest budgie we got is a lot more skittish than the others and gets really nervous. Occasionally he sleeps hanging to the cage bars and because of this poop sticks to his feathers not the vent area but a bit higher up. One of my other budgies used to have this issue the first few days but he wasn't as scared as this new one.

Is it alright for a new budgie to get poop around thier vent area.

I believe your budgie may have an upset stomach. Have you noticed the new one with runny/wetter than normal poop? Have you changed his diet?

Nope and nope it only happens when he hangs off the cage to sleep at night which he does sometimes otherwise it doesnt stick.

Ahh so maybe he's defecating on himself because he's attached to the bars. Makes sense.

Do you have your new budgie in the cage with your current bird(s)? He seems extremely scared to be latching onto the cage to sleep. If you do, you may need to get him into his own cage until he acclimates better to his new home. He seems to be stressed out.

Yes he is although the other birds are friendly he gets scared of them when they land near him and flies away. I think it's because of the noise outside at night where he comes from in the shop it's very quite. Also when people open and close doors he also gets scared if its dark.
