Hi All

Just wanted to say hi and show everyone my new baby B & G :blue1:.
Cleo will arrive in about 7 weeks. I'm super excited.

I've attached a couple of piccies of her :) These are from the breeder, she even featured in a happy easter shot :)

I've done almost a year of research so I'm as ready as I can be, it's my first macaw though so I'm a bit nervous.

She has a huge indoor cage and aviary outside and I've spoilt her rotten with many many toys already...so I'm just waiting on her.

Any advice or helpful hints are very welcome :)

I love my baby, midnight, she brings a massive amount of life to the family, its like having a baby tho, they are never wrong you cant argue with them and you cant tell them off. However they will love you unconditionally and give you the best relationship of your life.

Dont be nervous but do look up the beak grab technique just in case she bites, midnight does but she is learning quickly that 'too hard' means it hurts. Also don't be surprised if she does bite. I wasn't expecting it but it seems to be part of macaws. At least mine anyway.

Good luck and wicked pics, thank you or sharing.

Peter

How exciting, cute photos:)

Chor22, what type of cage did you get? Who's the manufacturer? Just wondering, wanting to get either a B&G or a Harlequin.

You and tab xo need to trade toy stories...spoiled doesnt begin to cover it ;)

Awwwww, those photos are adorable!! I especially love the Easter pic, too cute! :D

It is always so exciting waiting for a new baby macaw to come home. I know just how you feel, my GW girl will be home next Monday. I have been waiting for her to finish weaning since last Dec. ;)

I look forward to hearing more about your baby's progress & update photos. Those update photos while you wait are priceless! it makes ya' feel connected to their growing time when you can't be with them yet. :red1:
