Awww...good pic's!! I'm so biased toward YSGCC's as that's what my Franklin is.

Last year I bought myself a DSLR too and I've never looked back. I LOVE IT! I ALMOST bought the T2i...it's what I REALLY wanted, but when it came time to plunk down nearly 1000 bucks (it's come down since then)...I chickened out and settled with the Cannon T3 (holding retail value at $500.00ish) and for me, the hobbiest photographer, I couldn't be happier with it. Well worth every penny!

The main difference between the T2i and the T3 is the megapixels...which I think are 12 for the T3, all the other differences seemed quite minor to me. I still haven't explored all the features of my camera and I've had it almost a year and taken almost 10,000 pic's with it! And a few hours of HD video

I have to say, I love the canon DSLR's in general, they are simple enough to use right out of the box...turn on, point, shoot...and have enough "extra" features to keep you experimenting.

I totally agree with you about the "easiness" of use for the dslr cameras I love using my dad's camera and wish I could steal it. And like you said, I barely have touched all it's cool features of taking different kinds of photos.

Yes it is expensive and that's why I dad bought one and I did not....hoping someday he'll want the next best camera and I'll get it as a hand-me-down, hehe
