New and Need help with my Greencheek Conure

Hi guys,

I'm new to Parrot Forums and I really need help with my GCC. She is about 7 or 8 weeks and almost fully weaned, but she squaks constantly. I live in an apartment and I am worried that she is being too loud and that my neighbors may start to complain. She does a chirp all of the time no matter what you do. It doesn't matter if you feed her, have her out of the cage holding her, or have her in the cage. She likes to scream too if we leave the room or aren't playing with her and I need to know how to try and break her of that and make her a little quieter. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Poor little bird !
Can it be eating enough food . Having had children l am thinking food water security u may think of a bird vet as this must be bad for all concerned .
Hope someone with lot,s of knowledge will help u guys .

How long have you had her?

screaming for attention! 1/boredom. 2/cage not big enought. 3/does he have enough toys. 4/ plenty food & water. 5/ does he get enought attention.6/ is he happy in general would he be happier with another conure for a friend . Oddly 2 opposite conditions can make your bird louder. 1/ silence means predator lurking. 2/If a very loud home he may be trying to get noticed .3/ Try not reacting to hi very loud screams just walk away come back as soon as he is silent. good luck ********
