Never seen this before...

So my pineapple conure is doing this weird behaviour I have never seen before, we've never had him tested so I assume he is a boy :) . Basically when he is on his perch, he leans forward and bows his head down as if he is going to fly, then his tail starts moving up and down while staying downwards.

Quite common to do this with the cage or perch especially during this time of year. My girl broke down her rattan ball toy and made herself a "friend".
 
Now that Rachael mentioned it, I bet that's what it is. Mating gestures. It doesn't happen here for whatever reason, even in the one and ones in the past who were old enough. But it is very commonly seen and talked about in pet birds.
