1 Conure?
We just purchased a Conure and it came with a birth certificate it says she is a Fancy Green Cheek but we all know they do that for the money and there is no such thing. I am thinking she is a cinnamon or pineapple? but not sure. It is 6 mos old and was told female but no paperwork saying the sex I did send a blood sample to Healthgene and expecting results any day (I hope) Please Help:rainbow1:

I would say it's a Cinnamon! As its got lesser red plumage on the belly and face.

Thats what I was thinking but my eyesight at 45 years old is not very good! Really for all I know it could be a Duck! lmbo
:red1:

Just to clarify, Cinnamons and Pineapples have the grey feet with the see through nails. Regular GCC and red bellies have black nails and you cant see the blood vein you have to guess. It is definitely a cinnamon, just like mine.

I think Pineapple, Cinnamons don't have that much red on their chest.

It's a Cinnamon.

I would say cinnamon! But either way she is SO cute! Congrats! And she is definitely not a Fancy! They are like the normal ones but have more red and yellow! :)

The pet stores will call any GCC that is anything other than the Normal coloration, FANCY.

I would say a cinnamon, congratulations! My brother just has a normal one, but she is small and cute! If you haven't already noticed, they can get pretty loud and are usually cuddly, like most conures. That's why my mom suggested a conure for me!

I own both Cinnamon and Pineapple GCC's. Yours is most certainly a Cinnamon. Pineapples have much more/much brighter red on their underbelly/chest. Cinnamons have the red but it is very pale and looked 'washed out'. My pineapple also has pale-ish red spots on her cheeks and her tail is also a brighter maroon/red than our Cinnamon.

So yes, yours is most definitely a Cinnamon. ^^

This website has an image of a normal, yellowside, cinnamon and a pineapple all on the same perch so you can really see the differences between the mutations.

The size of the stomach patch as well as red coloring within the cheeks, or a lack there-of doesn't necessarily mean anything. Not all pineapples have large red patches. Not all pineapples have red in the cheeks or facial area.

However, the red of a pineapple is indeed different to the red of a cinnamon. Pineapples are also much more yellow within the stomach area.

go on google and look up pictures of cinnamons, yellow- sided and normal. you can pretty much tell the difference from there! he/ she is adorable and looks like a cinnamon to me (I have been seeing WAY too many pictures lol:)
