my lovebird has been laying eggs she had had 3 eggs she laid her last egg 3 or 4 days ago i goy her out to day to see her and she has what seems to be another egg in her i know its nomale for them to lay every other day but is it nomale for them to lay another egg what will be 4 to 5 days after there last egg plz help

Has your bird bathed in the last few days? Do you have any idea what the humidity level is in your house? how long do you think she has had the appearance of an egg?

I'm assuming this is the bird's first nesting...and possibly your first encounter with a nesting hen.....young hens/first timers should be watched for possible complications...they might also require calcium supplementation, especially if you are not feeding calcium rich fresh foods...and if your home is too dry, it can affect her ability to expel the egg and could necessitate a veterinarian's intervention.....

If she doesn't pass the egg by tomorrow morning, you might be wise to call & discuss the situation with your vet because egg binding is a life threatening situation.....

When a female started laying, it will seem puffy on their undersides. It's actually pretty normal. But sometimes a female can lay again 5 days later or more to add to her clutch. My female Cockatiel just did that on her current batch. She laid four and stopped for about a week and laid 3 more. So now all four have hatched and the 3 eggs are going to be far apart from the older siblings as they're all fertile.

so my bird had her 4th egg some time last night so happy she is ok thanks everyone for your help
