I recently got my first African Grey Cici. I've only had her for a few weeks and she is settling in really well. I have a concern, though. She has a lot of blue around her eyes. I understand that its common for them to have a little bit of blue, but it seems to be getting worse. Yesterday she almost looked bruised. She's acting completely normal, but I don't know what it is. Is it lack of sleep, lack of sun, poor nutrition, a medical issue, etc.? I've been told by my family that I shouldn't worry, but I want to make sure that she's okay. What are your thoughts? It will take a while to get into a vet, and the closest avian vet is an hour away. Can you give me any advice? I've done dozens of google searches but can't really find anything.

I'm not quite sure what that would be. Never heard of it before. Do you have any pictures of it?

How old is Cici? Whats the staple diet, as well as other food fed regularly, has she fallen recently?

A photo would be great. Do you have a good avian vet? Whenever you have concerns that aren't easily explained by forum members a vet visit is always recommended.

Cici is seventeen, and she was eating zupreem natural, but since I got her I've been weaning her onto harrison's. She has fallen, but nowhere near her face and it's not really falling either. She just has a really clumsy landing. It's gotten better and then worse, but now it seems mostly normal. She still has some blue, but not nearly as much. I still don't know what caused it though. She didn't have it when we brought her home, but within the first week she had it. Maybe somehow stress caused it? Wasn't sleeping because of the move? I have no idea. She seems just fine now.

It's a bit hard to tell whether something wrong there without picture. Could you post one?
