My husband bought me 2 baby IRNs for our one year anniversary, but only one is home as the other is not weaned yet. We are struggling to come up with a name, as all of our birds have Army names in some way, and we want the new one to match. Right now we have living with us...
RANGER - Dog (Black Mouth Cur) named after Army Rangers.
FLC - Green Cheeked Conure, pronounced "Flick" stands for Fighting Load Carrier or Frontal Load Carrier, a vest that has attachable pouches and is worn by soldiers.
Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty - Pionus Parrots, self explanatory.
Infantry Blue - IRN, we call her "Blue" and she is baby-blue like the color that signifies Infantry.
MRE - Budgie, we call her "Marie" named after Meals Ready to Eat
ARC - Budgie, we call him "Archie" named after the Army Reconnaissance Course
Tropic Lightning - Budgie, we call her "lightning," named after the 25th Infantry Division.
Molle - Budgie, named after the "Molle" (pronounced "Molly") ruck sack that soldiers carry.
Long Grey Linus - Budgie, we call him "Linus", named after the "Long Grey Line," which is the poetic way of saying every cadet who has ever attended the United States Military Academy.
Benning - Budgie, we call him "Ben," named after Fort Benning, GA, where we spent most of our first year of marriage.
So, any thoughts for a male turquoise IRN with an Army theme?
