I have just recently been given 2 green cheeked conures. I work at a veterinary clinic in jackson ms. one of the clients had them and decided to find a home for them.since I had bonded so well with them during their stay at the clinic she gave them to me. However the stress of the constant business of the clinic is a bit much for the younger one and it started plucking tail feathers. The dr at the clinic said a place to hide would help. So my question is what type of a nest would be best?

Happy huts are good. You can also give it other places to hide, like a PVC pipe, or a box. Even just stuff to hide behind helps.

Are they at your house or at the clinic?

Right now they are at the clinic. However they have their own space away from the other animals that they are allowed out of their cage to play for several hours a day. We had an african grey that lives at the clinic for years who was a pet of the veterinarian. So measures are in place to assure their safety and comfort.it is just this one is not quite as social and the extra people around make it very nervous.

Would the fuzzy stuff on the happy hut cause a problem if they were to pick at it and swallow some?

happy huts are prity safe and would probibly help they do like to hide in tight spaces.
