Natural environment gcc

Hi,
I am trying to do some reading on the way GCC naturally live. I am very curious and I'm finding difficult to even find pictures of GCC in the wild. Does anyone have any recommendations for books, or websites where I can get some accurate information about GCC in the wild? Thank you
