New bird owner! I have a white-faced cockatiel
My tiel, Buddy, has been pretty much demanding a nap the last couple of days. He paces in his cage (it has an open top) and pretty much shrieks until I close it up and cover it like I do at bedtime. Anyone else have a bird that does this?:grey:

My nanday will take naps anywhere, including the toes of my slippers while I rest my legs on a stool. but he never demands to be covered. he does get covered at bedtime and loves it.

Thanks Leroy,
Buddy and I are still in the process of taming each other, so it's so fascinating to see how he gets his needs met! I'm coming along in the process, too; right now he's having a ball teaching me to fetch... : )

What's the response after being covered for the nap?. cuz if they dig it u might as well do it.

He quiets immediately and settles down to sleep. I'm wondering if maybe he doesn't sleep long enough in the morning, I will try uncovering him later. For now, he seems healthy and happy, so if he wants a nap, he gets it!

Thanks for your interest. : )
