have just been playin nuts fav game of coins, on the coffee table

anyway i had a brain storm :11:
what if i made, a flat surface covered with sand paper? as i noticed when nut picks the coins up its mostly with her feet?? she has not mastered holding onto 2 coins yet an is currently squeekin at the coins :20:

coffee tables rather scratched now lol

thought i would ask if this was ok to aviod problems down the line so to speak, whats your thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea to me. She wouldnt be on it all the time, so it probably wouldnt hurt her feet. I wonder if she would get on it? Merlin hates his pedicure perch & wont touch it. He also likes the sound of the coins hitting the counter. It would be good for their beaks. Really good for the coffee table.

she'll only be on it when she is in the counting mood, lol

but the trimming perches are really not touching her nails (i think she secretly sharpens them, when we are out!)

as for goin onto the new surface, the coins, in nuts mind must be punished lol and lol she punishes the coins by throwing them over the coffee table, if they do not comply with her wishes

I love nut, she & merlin are soul twins.

I started Merlin w/emery boards when he was young, I thought I could eventually file them. I stopped, he really did not allow it. I wish I had kept it up, his nails are like razors. I walk around w/bird scratchs on my shoulders & ankles (he likes to sit on my legs when I'm reading). Coins havent done it for us this week, he has some arrow heads that he's playing w/.

so not giving nut arrow heads, she'd probably fashion a shaft an bow for it!!!

its not the length of her nails its the sharpness!! my shoulder as its been hot here, are covered in scratches lol and to day as i had a summer skirt on, felt like i had a cactus bouncing of my bottom, as for some reason she likes to hitch a lift in that area lol think me goin oww as a iwalked amused her! mean bird lol
