Hey everyone, I just joined this page to find some help with my green cheek conures nail, he wasnt born with this and I noticed it yesterday. His back toe has managed to make its way to the front when he perches and the nail is twisting sideways? He does not seem to be in any pain, not paying any attention to it and being his usual self. He is 2 and a half years old, and honestly such a sweetie, I cannot touch his nails as he won’t let me, this has caused me to not be able to cut his nails a long with my other conure and cockatiel. I have tried to do it while covering his face but it is very hard as he moves and I do not want to cut him. I do have a lot of nail trimming perches to help this but doesn’t seem to work. Should I leave it how it is or take him to the vet? I don’t want to stress him out at the vet for no reason, I have tried twisting it gently but it just goes back to how it is. I have attached a picture. Please help, I am so worried!

Thank you for caring so much for this challenged bird!

In my opinion, any of the vets listed here should be better than a regular vet.
International contacts, too.
If none are near you, maybe you could call and ask for a recommendation for somebody in your area.
