Yes a mated pair, both 4 years old, and a box attached. I just gave more food and changed the water again. They do both run off into the box when I come in the room, but they both stick there head out to see what Im up to. lol.... The male still comes right out to play with me. But I know I should not be touching him.

Is this the first time they've laid eggs for you?

She did it again. My Sun laid another egg tonight. Exactly one week after the other 2 eggs. Is that a normal cycle? I would have thought she was done with the first 2 she laid.

She's not incubating at all? That's not normal cycle she's laying but it does happen!

Yes. She is in the nest box all the time now. Maxwell comes out to get food and then goes right back in the box now too. He no longer plays with me when I am changing there food and water. I was just surprised to see another egg tonight. I guess I will just wait and see what happens in a few weeks.

Have you candle the first two eggs to see if they're fertile???

I didn't think you would see anything yet. The first 2 eggs were laid 7 days ago. Is using a small LED flash light ok to use?

Yes, I have a nice little mag lite but I misplaced it one day so I used an led keychain light and it worked better than the maglite!

Oh I have a led key chain light already. I didn't think of that. I'll give the eggs another week and check them :)

Its also a matter of "Lucy" letting me get close to the eggs. Boy has she become nasty lol...

Wow, I just looked in the box and she laid another 2 eggs since 3/21. So now there's 5 eggs. How many can she have? I hope no more lol.....

Well Lucy finally was out of the nesting box for a bit this morning. So I got a chance to candle the eggs. Looks like 3 are blanks, and 2 look like they tried to start growing and died, sort of a mix of a red ring in the eggs :(

I saw pictures of the day by day stages and looks like they are all bad. Not sure if I should remove them or let them stay for the 21-28 days. What is the best thing to do now?

I would leave them in there for now. Ofcourse I'm not a breeder, but that would be my best guess and what I would do if they were my birds. Sorry the eggs aren't any good I'm sure they'll try again.

Leave them in the box with her for the 21-28 days or until she looses interest in them. If you pull them now she will probably lay more right away and that can be hard on them. How old are the eggs that look infertile? You usually can't tell until they are about a week old, prior to that they usually look infertile.

Didn't she just lay 3 of the eggs? Leave them for now and check a week later. Leave the eggs in there even if they're no good like it was mentioned above.
