My quaker isn’t right today

Not sure if birds have off days or just act tired at times?? My quaker is quiet and seems fluffed and seems really tired. She has taken a few treats and veggies from me but isn’t eating on her own like she usually does....she’s usually chatty and perky in the morning !! Vet isn’t open today of course...any advice??

Ain’t it always the way?? Don’t they always manage to find a way to worry us when the vet is closed?! Does your vet at least have an online booking system so you can make an appointment asap? My vet has an arrangement with a local 24 hour place which is not a bird specialist. I’ve brought Fang to them when he was a bit shaky on a Sunday and they can call him anytime for advice, I don’t know if you have anything like that where you are. Even with that though, there wasn’t a whole lot they could do and I still took Fang to my regular vet first thing on the Monday.

I hope someone can give you some advice and that your birdie is okay

Heat and low stress, quiet rest are the best things you can offer right now. Probiotics probably not a bad idea, and vet as soon as you are able. Sleepy days happen some times, but sleepy, puffy, reduced appetite is worth having a vet check out.
