Hi I came back from work my parrot flew to me and bit me I sat on the floor and then he came again to bite I'm soo scared to go near it I can't Change his food or his water

This makes me so sad. You bought an older amazon, something a person new to parrots should never have done. This is too much bird for you and as cruel as it may sound you may not be ready for any bird. Parrots bite, they are not like cats and dogs. In your fearful state I really think the best thing you could do for Rio is to find someone more experienced and give him a chance to be a happy well adjusted bird. In the mean time of looking for a good home for him I would hope that despite your fears you will make sure he is properly cared for.

They do occasionally do things like this. Especially with a sexually mature amazon who is entering his hormonal phase (which will last a month or 2). Kiwi has nabbed my hands a couple times in the past week, not pleasant, but not abnormal. The best course of action when this sort of thing happens is to calmly return the bird to his cage, then leave him alone for a few minutes to calm down. Stick training (basally training the bird to step on a wood dowel instead of your hand) is a good way to SAFELY get an aggressive parrot back to it's cage. Once the bird has had a few minutes to calm down, then praise and give a treat. There is no reason you should be "too scared to feed him or change his water". Thats just cruel! If he has food and water, by all means, give him a while to calm back down before you change them out, but you can't let him go without those for any extended period of time ever. Again, if you can't accept the typical behavior of a parrot, there are options to surrender him to a shelter.

Also in my experience (I used to volunteer my time to helping people overcome issues with their birds) once a person begins referring to their pet as "it" instead of him/her or their name it is over. You are no longer invested in making it work. You are now looking at Rio as a "wild animal" well he always was, parrots are wild exotic animals they are not domesticated. Even when a person has a loving trusting relationship there is the chance of getting bit. Please begin the search for a new home for him asap

It seems to me that most of your posts contain some or other threat against your bird - either releasing him into the wild, not feeding him because you're 'so scared'.... And each time, the members here jump to Rio's defence and beg you not to abandon or neglect him. I have to wonder if this reaction is what you're expecting each time?

Again, if I have misinterpreted your intentions, I apologise. But I can no longer respond to your posts because they upset me each time.

IF you're on the up & up, I agree with what others have recommended. Rehome Rio to someone who can take proper care of him. I wish Rio the very best of luck.

Oh I figured out what was wrong before I came back from
work rio was scared by some noise my mother told me about two minutes ago he jumped on me arm and wanted a tour of the house thank you all for commenting
