Hello again,
I just wanted to report that my Senegal tried over 15 times to say hello this morning. And my roommate who bought the bird actually had a bit of a break down and is now on medications that might make him a little calmer to become friends with Amos again. There is still a grudge. I screwed up though and took Amos for a walk. He bit me and it hurt so I said pretty loudly "hey" and he became afraid and stopped doing it. I know that's not what you are supposed to do but it was an unconscious reaction.
Anyways this morning, not only did he try to say hello, he snickered and whistled and tried making all kind of noises. I think he was a jailed bird at the pet store with little interaction. Now he is proud of himself and gets happy when I call him a pretty bird.
I am pretty excited about it, but today I must clean that cage, as my roommates mental issues have taken up a lot of my time last week.
