My New Lovebird Already Cuddling!

Hi everyone,

I am the proud human of a 8 week old lovebird that I got two days ago.

She was hand fed but was not hand trained to start. Throughout the past two days I have maintained a very patient demeanor in trying to get her to come to me on her own accord.

Today I left the cage door open and she was out and about (hiding in one of my small video game containers of all places).

Anyways, I picked her up and began petting her. Long story short, a few hours later I had her cuddling with me on my bed while I was reading Game of Thrones

She almost gave me a heart attack today, I leave the cage door open when I am not home so she can be accustomed to being outside of the cage.

I thought I had bird-proofed everything and after an hour of frantic searching she jumps out of the smallest crevace behind one of my cabinets (I was playing Lovebird chirping sounds to draw her out).

I only leave the cage open when I'm home (or when my wife is home). They can get into lots of stuffs you don't think they would.
