My new GWM - Izzy

Here is Isabelle, "Izzy" for short. She's 11 years old. We took her in last Monday (2/11/2013). Her owner has become very ill and can no longer take care of her or the other birds he had.

Izzy is a BIG girl. LOL. Showed her to a bird friend of mine last week who has two GWM's. She dwarfs my friend's to GWM. She's not "fat, just LARGE.

My breeder has always referred to hers (and mine) as Bolivian Green Wings. THe breeding pair she has are QUITE large! I still need a new scale to weigh mine, but they ain't small.

Not a 100% sure on either of those possibilities. I was told by the owner "she" was a she, but he had no proof to back that. Once things settle down in a month icll Di a blood DNA on her. I have a few other birds that were taken in that don't have a positive sexing test either.
